Below-freezing temperatures and a light snowfall didn't stop thousands of people all over Western New York from joining millions around the nation for hundreds of simultaneous protests.

The third No Kings Protest, which occurred communities from sea to shining sea, featured several concurrent protests around Western New York from Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo to Tonawanda, Amherst, Niagara Falls, Batavia, and other communities around the region.

This third protest saw many people up in arms and trying to raise awareness about the impacts from the war in Iran, plus what's happening with energy prices and inflation, and how that's impacting overall affordability for people in the third poorest city in America.

In addition to speakers and many signs of protest, attendees marched a mile up Delaware Avenue, past the local offices for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, before turning around and heading back into Niagara Square.

Many people shared the same general sentiment that the country is going in the wrong direction and that a change is needed in America's national leadership. With the 2026 midterms on the horizon, there is a real possibility that the protesters get what they want if control of Congress shifts from the current party to the opposition party.

The NYCLU has been one of the many organizations that have been pushing people to become more politically active. Based on the people protesting in support of No Kings, plus the counter protesters that were advocating for President Trump and his policies, it seems that Buffalo supports the First Amendment like others do.

Thousands Of Buffalonians Gather For No Kings Protest in Western New York

On a cold Saturday morning on March 28, 2026, several thousand people gathered in downtown Buffalo at Niagara Square for the 3rd No Kings Protest. The Buffalo protest, which saw protestors march about a mile up Delaware Ave and back to Niagara Square down Elmwood, was one of hundreds that happened across the nation in protest against the perceived corrupt and authoritarian policies of Donald Trump and the current federal administration.
