Here Is Why Delays Could Happen At Buffalo International Airport

If you are flying out of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport today, you could see some delays with your flight. The airport has filed a NOTAM, which states that the airport's apron fuel is not available.

Delays Possible At Buffalo Niagara International Airport

Officials with the Buffalo Niagara International Airport have filed a NOTAM that states there is no apron fuel at the airport. This means that planes should not expect to be able to refuel at the airport until the issue is resolved.

So what does that mean for travelers? Well, first off, the airport is not closed. Planes are still arriving and departing at the airport. The biggest problem could be delays with departing flights or delays with planes arriving at the airport.

If planes need fuel, they may be forced to land somewhere else before coming to Buffalo, and that could end up delaying flights at the airport.    

At the time of this writing, there were a couple of delays with both arriving and departing flights, but there were still plenty of planes arriving and departing on time. You should check with your airline before heading to the airport to see if your flight has been delayed.

The NOTAM issued by the airport is set to expire around 2 pm this afternoon.
