There was a point in my life where I associate certain country songs with my rides home on the bus in middle school. Had to make a few stops at others nearby schools, so the trip would take 45 minutes to an hour every weekday.

Plenty of time to listen to the radio though and "Good Little Girls" by Blue County is one that brings me back to those days.

Released in September of 2003 as duo Blue County's debut single, it would peak at #10 on the Mediabase country chart in April of 2004. The song was off their self-titled, debut album.

Blue County features actor-singers Aaron Benward and Scott Reeves. That's right, along with music, both members had stints as actors in various television shows including Nashville and The Young and the Restless. Benward's son and wife are also actors/actresses.

Benward did solo stuff in the music business, until he and his friend Reeves founded Blue County. They released six singles from 2003-2007.

Unfortunately, none of them after "Good Little Girls" were able to reach the top 20, with "That's Cool" (#23) being the highest of the bunch in the fall of 2004.

After Blue County left their label Curb Records, they split as a duo until recently, where they have reunited as Blue County once again!

Even though they only reached the top 10 once, I really enjoyed Blue County. If you need a summer song anthem, check out "That Summer Song" off their debut album.
