As you are driving through Western New York, you may notice several people walking down the side of the tallest building in Buffalo.

While it may seem scary, don’t worry – they are supposed to be there!

Many people in Western New York are planning to rappel down Seneca One Tower this week, and it’s all for a good cause.

What Building Is It?

The Seneca One Tower is located in downtown Buffalo, and it is a 529-foot skyscraper. And for the last several months, people in the Buffalo area have been raising money to go Over The Edge to support The Arc Erie County New York.

The goal for each rappeler is to raise at least $2,000 for The Arc Erie County New York. You can see the full list of rappelers and the funds they have raised when you click here

What Is The Arc Erie County?

If you have never heard of The Arc Erie County, it is a non-profit organization to support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them achieve their desired quality of life and create opportunities for those individuals. It’s definitely a worthy cause, and if you want to donate, you can click here

Who Will Rappel Down Seneca One Tower?

A handful of people will be the first rappelers to go down Seneca One Tower on Thursday, June 27th, but the big event is happening throughout the day on Friday, June 28th. Most people will be rappelling on Friday.
