For the first time this season the Sabres are on a three-game winning streak.  Have they turned things around?  It's way too early to tell just yet, but they looked pretty impressive against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday at First Niagara Center.

Jason Pominville scored twice and added a shoot-out goal as the Sabres won 4-3.  For the second straight game the Sabres took the lead in the 3rd period, allowed the opponent to tie it to force overtime, then a shoot-out and just like Thursday in Florida the Sabres scored on their first two shots in the shoot-out while Ryan Miller stopped the only two shots he faced to win it.

Cody Hodgson had a pair of assists including one on Jochen Hecht's first goal of the season.

After sweeping two games in Florida the Sabres desperately needed a win at home and it came against a team they traditionally have a tough time against.  It was a pretty chippy game and look for that to continue when they meet again Thursday in New Jersey.  Before that the Sabres play Sunday in New York against the Rangers, then on Tuesday in Carolina.

With the win the Sabres move to within four points of the final playoff spot
