TGI Fridays Closing Down For Good In Downtown Buffalo
Another chain restaurant has announced that they will be closing their doors for good in downtown Buffalo.
It was just a couple of days ago that we found out Red Lobster would be closing the doors on all of their Western New York restaurants. Now, another chain will be moving out.
TGI Fridays will be leaving downtown Buffalo
TGI Fridays has been in the bottom floor of the Holiday Inn Express for years now, but today it appears as though something else will be going in there. According to WGRZ, another restaurant is applying for a liquor license for the location at 601 Main Street. That's the address of the current TGI Fridays.

It appeared as though this restaurant was one of the few that avoided being cut just a few months ago. They ended up closing five TGI Fridays restaurants across New York State back in January.
The listing for the Buffalo space went up to let people know it was available for lease back in April.
TGI Fridays is one of many restaurants closing or consolidating
It has almost become a trend that many of the restaurants we grew up on are suddenly closing in Western New York. In addition to TGI Fridays, Red Lobster, and Outback Steakhouses are closing. There are rumblings that there could be more closings coming too.
At this point, there is no word as to what will be filling the space at 601 Main Street.
