I'm sure by now, you have heard that President Donald Trump was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday. Early Friday morning at 1 a.m., he tweeted

Governor Andrew Cuomo said that he will be sending a care package to the President and First Lady "just to give them some comfort as they go through this" from New York State. It will include:

  • Apples from Upstate Farms
  • Cheesecake from Junior's
  • Bagels from New York City
  • Chicken Wings from Dinosaur BBQ
  • and some apple cider

During an interview late last week, Cuomo talked about the care package that would be sent to the White House:

Politics aside, we can have political differences and Lord knows I have political differences with the President, and we’re both New Yorkers, so we’re not shy about speaking our mind. We wish him all very well, a speedy recovery both to him and the First Lady. This creates a lot of anxiety. I’ve gone through this in my family. I’m sure his children are worried, et cetera", according to WIVB.

As of Monday morning, it sounds like President Trump's condition is improving after the weekend. According to the Washington Post:

President Trump’s condition has “improved,” according to White House physician Sean Conley, but the president experienced significant oxygen drops on Friday and Saturday and was given dexamethasone — a steroid that is typically reserved only for severely ill coronavirus patients. Trump’s doctors said he has had no fever since Friday morning, however, and could be discharged as early as Monday."
