For the second game in a row Robin Lehner had an outstanding game in goal but comes out on the short end of a 3-2 loss in overtime.  And too bad; the Sabres scored twice in the third period to tie the St. Louis Blues and force overtime.

Evan Rodrigues scored on the power play early in the third period to cut the Blues lead in half and then with time winding down late in the third and Lehner on the bench for an extra attacker, Rodrigues scored again for his first multi-goal game in the NHL.

So the Sabres finish the 3-game road trip with one win and two overtime losses.  But it seems this team is starting to put it together.  They were solid in the win over Colorado and except for a few mistakes against Chicago and St. Louis they appear to be on the verge of turning the corner.

It took more than two months, but now they're getting some good efforts especially from Robin Lehner who stopped 42 of 45 shots after facing 51 shots against Chicago.

The Sabres are back home Tuesday night against Ottawa.
