NHL Player Scores Hat Trick in First Home Game Back Recovering From Alcohol Abuse
The Ottawa Senators are one of the Sabres biggest rivals in the National Hockey League but it's impossible to not feel something when you hear about this story.
Senators forward Bobby Ryan missed three months of games for Ottawa this season after entering the NHL/NHLPA assistant program because of alcohol abuse.
He made this return earlier this week but in his first home game back, Ryan had one of the best games of his career, scoring a hat trick. It was just the fifth of his 12-year career.
Ryan started his career in Anaheim for the Ducks but has played in Ottawa since 2013.
