Niagara Falls Going Green For St. Patrick’s Day

The Falls are getting into the Irish Spirit again on Saturday! The Niagara Falls Illumination Board, along with Tourism Ireland's "Global Greening" campaign, announced that Niagara Falls will be lit up green for the big day. The Falls will just be one of the many big landmarks in the world "going green" that day! The Sydney Opera House, Empire State Building, London Eye, Colosseum in Rome and the Leaning Tower of Pisa are some others that will be "going green" too!

According to a press release,

"Both the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls will be bathed with vibrant green light for 15-minute intervals at the top of the hour from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m."

The LED lights being used to illuminate the Falls are some pretty neats lights that were introduced to The Falls in 2016 and reduce the energy light consumption by 60%!
