The Buffalo Sabres completed their five-game western road trip with an impressive 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.  The Sabres dominated the game, outshooting the Ducks 45-28, but midway thru the second period they found themselves trailing 2-0.  That's when their power play finally came thru.

Kyle Okposo scored his first of the season off a perfect pass from Sam Reinhart on the power play to cut the Ducks lead in half and 1:28 later Jeff Skinner tied with a backhand off a pass from Jason Pominville.

In the third period defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen scored his first of the season, another power play goal to give Buffalo the lead and they held on until Patrik Berglund scored into an empty net in the final minute to clinch it.

So after back to back wins against good teams in Los Angeles and Anaheim the Sabres finish the road trip at 3-2 and when you consider how poorly they've played out west over the past few seasons that's a real positive.

The Sabres are back home Thursday night to host the Montreal Canadiens.
