13 Years Ago Today: The Sabres/Senators Brawl Game
The two Sabres seasons after the NHL lockout, from 2005-2007, were two of the funnest years I've ever head watching not just hockey, but any sport.

The Sabres were on their way to a President's Trophy (most regular season points) run during the 2006-2007 season but the one game fans remember the most from that year was the "line brawl game" against the Ottawa Senators on February 22nd, 2007.
Ottawa forward Chris Neil blindsided Sabres co-captain Chris Drury with a hit inside the Senators zone, which started the eventual brawl.
Despite the hit being "legal" at the time, the blindside hit would be rightfully made illegal by the NHL after the hit and similar ones in the NHL the following seasons. Neil led his shoulder into the head of Drury.
What ensued at the HSBC Center (now Key Bank Center) would be a wild scene that involved many fights, including the goaltenders Marty Biron and Ray Emery.
The Sabres ended up winning the game, 6-5 in a shootout.
