It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Keller Chevrolet and Batavia Downs gaming. This Week’s Hometown Hero is originally from Niagara Falls. It’s 43 year old retired Army Staff Sergeant Joseph Eddy!

Joseph joined the Army when he was 17 years old and was on 3 tours overseas. While in the Army he taught the drug education program at schools also helping with the cadet program at his infantry. He was also a recruiter for the army. Joseph worked his way up to Staff sergeant. In 2003 he joined the Frontier Volunteer Fire Department in Wheatfield, NY where he later became captain. After 22 years of service he retired from the Army. Joseph is a father to three daughters which he works hard every day to support. There’s not a day that goes by that Joseph isn't trying to help his country by either fighting overseas or running out of burning buildings. Joseph's three daughters want him to know that they are thankful for everything he’s done for his country and for them. They are so proud of him.

We want to say thank you to him for his service too. We are proud to call Joseph Eddy our Hometown Hero of the week.

Thanks once again to Joseph Eddy who proudly served our country in the United States Army, our Hometown Hero of the week!
