Accidental Gunshot Goes Off at Walden Galleria Mall Restaurant: Woman Injured

It was a chaotic scene at the Walden Galleria Mall on Thursday evening.

Many people didn't know why there were so many police cars on the scene but according to WIVB, Cheektowaga police said that a 19-year old man accidentally fired a gunshot inside the Texas De Brazil at the Walden Galleria Mall.

The gunshot struck his girlfriend in the upper leg. He was reaching for money to pay the check and that's when the gun went off.

The couple rushed for medical assistance but ended up pulling into a nearby plaza on Walden to call for emergency help.

The woman went to ECMC to treat her wound but is expected to be okay. The man was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
